What
is the Longview Public Library Foundation?
The
Longview Public Library Foundation, is an
independent non-profit organization, which
develops endowments and solicits donations
that will allow the Longview Public Library to
reach its full potential of service. The
Foundation promotes and supports the Longview
Public Library, joining its efforts with those
of the City of Longview and Gregg County for
the benefit of all citizens.
The
Foundation’s Board of Directors meets
biannually to distribute the interest earned
on its perpetual fund according to the needs
generated by the library patrons and the
library staff. The Foundation provides funds
to keep abreast of the library’s needs for
printed materials, services, technology, and
information in various forms.
