Services
The Circle of Success Bond Program provides
library assistance to seniors. The expanded
vision of the program is to reach adults,
young adults, and children who are residents
in rehabilitation centers, hospitals,
retirement centers, nursing homes, and
corrective facilities. Trained volunteers work
with patrons to provide support in library
services needed.
Hours
The volunteers make deliveries to the
facilities on Mondays from 10-2 and gather
materials for the following week on Tuesdays
from 10-2. Volunteers are trained at the
library at a scheduled time.
Goals
- Partnership with seniors to assist them
in the enjoyment of reading and developing
library skills so they can enhance their
quality of life.
- Partnership with high school, young
adults, and adults to provide them with a
meaningful service project within the
community.
- Partnership with the local hospitals,
rehabilitation centers, retirement
facilities, and senior care centers to
provide the opportunity for literacy
success and enjoyment.
- Partnership with the Longview Public
Library so staff can better provide for
continuing needs of the patrons in the
community.
