The Library now has paper copies of 2009 Tax Forms. These forms are available to all patrons.

Teens, take a moment to fill out our survey about a potential Teen Center or Teen Library Branch. We need your input!

 

red arrowFree Yoga Classes

Beginning in March, the Library will host free weekly Yoga classes in the Moeschle Room. These classes will continue through May. Check out the schedule on the bottom of this page for upcoming dates and times. These classes are free. Participants are asked to bring their own mat and wear comfortable, loose clothing. Classes will be taught by Longview citizen and yoga instructor, Cecile Craft. For more information, call 903-237-1341.

red arrowTeen Tech Week Trivia Challenge

Teen Tech Week 2010 is March 7-13! TTW is a national initiative aimed at teens, librarians, educators, parents, and other concerned adults meant to encourage teens to take advantage of libraries' non-print resources. To celebrate TTW, throughout the week, a different pop culture trivia question will be posted to the Teen Abyss MySpace and Facebook pages. Teens who wish to post an answer should include their name and email address with their answer. The goal is to use the web and other technology to find the answers to the questions! The pages will be checked daily for answers. 

 

A correct answer earns you an entry into a drawing for a chance to a win a gift card! There are 7 questions which means 7 chances to win! The winner will be contacted on Monday, March 15, with details on how to claim their prize.

Come get your art on! The awesome Denna Miller will be hosting her next art class on Thursday, March 11, from 6:30-8 pm in the Moeschle Room. Space is limited so please register by calling 903-237-1345 or stop by the Youth Department Desk. A $1 fee per participant will be collected at the door to help cover the cost of materials.

Hey kids, got game? This month's Super Saturday sure does! We'll be having lots of classic board game fun. So, whether you're a serious gamer, or you just like to hang out and play, be sure to drop by the Moeschle Room on Saturday, March 13, from 10:30 am until Noon for all the action. Don't forget to bring a friend or two!
