What is the Longview Public Library Foundation?

Longview Public Library  FoundationThe Longview Public Library Foundation, is an independent non-profit organization, which develops endowments and solicits donations that will allow the Longview Public Library to reach its full potential of service. The Foundation promotes and supports the Longview Public Library, joining its efforts with those of the City of Longview and Gregg County for the benefit of all citizens.

The Foundation’s Board of Directors meets biannually to distribute the interest earned on its perpetual fund according to the needs generated by the library patrons and the library staff. The Foundation provides funds to keep abreast of the library’s needs for printed materials, services, technology, and information in various forms.

How Can You Help?

You can help by giving a gift to preserve the library’s future. Gifts to the Longview Public Library Foundation are tax deductible and can offer you benefits in terms of income or estate taxes. There are a number of ways to give, including memorials, honorariums, cash, securities, life insurance or real property.
